Bob Lee’s educational background is not clear. But he has always been interested in technology. At the initial time of his career, he worked as a web developer for Red Rock communications. And, he also worked a few years as a consultant.
After that he decided it was time to move on to venture big opportunities. He worked as a software developer and made a great contribution to the creation of Android and Guice. In 2010, his skills were appreciated and recognised by Jack Dorsey and he hired Lee to become the Chief Technology Officer of Square. During those days he started the development of an online platform for money transactions through mobile formerly known as Square cash. Then later it’s name was changed into ‘Cash App’.
Later, he turned his focus into Angel investing and became a start-up advisor.
DEATH
Bob Lee was stabbed on Tuesday morning at 2:35 am. He was standing in front of a luxury apartment on the 300 block of St., near Rincon hill and the bay bridge. Even though he was rushed to hospital after police found him. Due to his deep wounds. He died in the hospital itself. The motive behind his attack is not confirmed, therefore no arrests have been made till now. The people guess that he may have become a victim of random mugging on the street.
Many people have come forward giving their condolences for his death. People like Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey, Jake Shields, Joshua Goldbard all have publicly expressed their sorrow in losing their ‘Dear Friend’.
